Mike founded DuraBuild Construction in 2012 - a relatively tough economic time to founder a building company. However, with a high level of professionalism and recognising the value of good, dedicated employees, DuraBuild has grown into the successful company it is today, currently employing a crew of over 20 workers. Since 2012 DuraBuild has successfully completed a range of high end new builds and renovations throughout Omaha, Matakana, Warkworth and the North Shore. In his down time Mike enjoys fishing and coaching his son's rugby team.
Hannah helps manage the DuraBuild crew of over 20 employees and ensures the day to day operations and administration of DuraBuild run smoothly. Hannah lives locally with husband Mike (Director) and enjoys a bit of horse riding and running around after her three young children.
Hailing from a background in boat building, Luke was part of the Oracle Americas cup team that constructed the winning vessel in 2013. Luke joined DuraBuild as a construction manager and has overseen a number of successful projects. He is experienced in a wide range of construction types and has worked on both residential and commercial sites.
Dave is one of DuraBuild's original team members. An integral member of the DuraBuild team, Dave helped to build DuraBuild into the company it is today. A local to the region, Dave is currently perusing building projects in London and will return to NZ shores in 2018.
Steve is one of the original crew members of DuraBuild, joining the company in 2012. Steve has a lot of experience on both commercial and residential building sites. In his down time, Steve enjoys getting out on the water for a fish.
Andy joined DuraBuild in 2013. Andy grew up in the Warkworth region, attending Mahurangi College. As one of the earlier employees of DuraBuild, Andy has completed a vast range of building types, gaining a lot of hands on experience. In his spare time Andy plays Rugby and Sevens for the Mahurangi Club.
Lyle moved back up to Warkworth to join DuraBuild in 2014. Originally from the area, Lyle has a solid background in construction and concreting. Lyle has taken to his role at DuraBuild extremely well and has worked his way up to a foreman role.
Brooke joined DuraBuild in 2017 in a Foreman role. Brooke is an experienced carpenter who grew up in the area and attended the local college. Brooke is experienced in new home construction, high end architectural builds and renovations.
Scott is a local to the Warkworth region and attended the local high school with DuraBuild founder, Mike. A long-time friend of Mike's, Scott has recently returned from a stint in Australia, bringing with him a vast range of carpentry experience and skills.
Joe is a fully qualified Carpenter who grew up here in the Warkworth region. Joe is experienced in new architectural builds as well as commercial builds. He has gained experience both locally and overseas, spending 7 years building in Canada.
With a background in boat building, Robbie joined DuraBuild in 2017 looking for a change. Bringing with him a vast range of skills in word working and finishing Robbie has completed a range of successful projects with DuraBuild.
Joining the DuraBuild team in 2017, Sean brings a high level of carpentry experience, particularly in high end residential home builds and renovations. With a broad range of skills, and strong work ethic, Sean has fast become a valuable member of the Durabuild team.
Dan is a local to the area and attended the local high school, Mahurangi College. Dan has a range of building skills including foundations and renovation work.
Joining DuraBuild as a Labourer in 2017, Mathew has since started an apprenticeship with DuraBuild and his highly motivated to get qualified. With a good sense of humour and great work ethic, Mathew is a keen outdoorsman, spending most of his weekends hunting & fishing.
Tama is the newest member of the DuraBuild team. He has a bright future in the industry and is eager to learn. As part of DuraBuild's next generation of young builders Tama has experience in a range of different projects completed by DuraBuild.
Originally joining DuraBuild as a labourer will impressed with his work ethic and eagerness to learn. He has now started an apprenticeship with DuraBuild and has a bright future in the industry. Will grew up locally and is a keen sportsman, representing NZ in Touch Rugby.
Durabuild Construction Limited was founded by Mike Bronkhorst in 2012. With over 15 years experience in the building industry he has extensive hands on experience, as well as invaluable business experience, dealing with hundreds of clients. A personal touch, often lost among large building companies, Mike personally meets with clients and offers his expert guidance before taking on a project.
Mike grew up in the wider Wakworth community, attending the local college and completing his apprenticeship in the region. Residing in Omaha with his wife and three children, Mike is a proud contributor to the local community. He employs local tradesman and uses local materials.
